Policy & Handbook

Backup Person for Pickups

You will receive 1 emergency blue card in your registration packet. This will have your backup emergency persons to pick up your child if you are unable to. It is my policy to release your child only with his or hers parents or someone else parents designate. If you know someone else is going to be picking up your child other then yourselves please notify me at drop off or with a phone call with a name of who will be picking up your child. I will need to see a photo ID. If this person is not on your list of escorts to pick up your child, I must have a written permission to release your child. Remember to inform all persons picking up your child that if I do not know them, they will be asked to show photo ID. This is for the safety of your child. I will not let any child leave without a verbal permission even if this person is listed as one of your designated people. I will phone call parents at work. Please let me know ahead of time with phone call or written note.

Parents will need to sign in and sign out their child everyday. This will be located by the door along with a clock and pen. This gives me a record of attendance, hours, and persons who brought/picked up your child.

Early drop offs & late pickups

You are scheduled for the child care for the hours listed in your contract and rate agreement. If you need to drop off your child before your scheduled time, please call me by 9:00pm the night before. If you just show up early without prior notice I may not be prepared to receive them and may choose not to admit them until their contracted arrival time.

When you or a designated person picks up your child, they must be picked up at or before your contracted pickup time. I will allow a 15 minute grace period after your contracted pickup time, after which time I will charge an overtime rate of $5.00 per every 15 minutes after your contracted time. (This means that if your contracted pickup time is 4:30pm and you show up at 4:46pm, you will owe an additional $5.00. After 5:00 is $10.00 and so on). If it is my opinion that you are abusing this privilege, I reserve the right to terminate your contract. Overtime rates will also apply if you tell me verbally that you will be picking up your child early and do not arrive by the time you say. (example if you call and tell me you are coming at 11:00 and say you will pick up your child and you show up at 2:00pm even though your contract shows that your pickup time is 4:00). If you know in advance that you will need to pickup your child later than your contracted hours, you must arrange this with me at least 1hr before your scheduled pickup time to avoid paying the overtime charges. I reserve the right to decline your request if I have other plans or if this would exceed my headcount limits imposed by the State. If I decline the overtime and you still arrive late, I will charge $5.00 per every 15 minutes you're late. If overtime is prearranged and you or your designee will be picking up your child after my normal operating hours, my fee will be $3.00 per every 15 minutes after my normal closing time. This is to assure that children are picked up on time as not to impose on my family time. I will expect cash at the time of late pick up. If you do not make the payment you will be billed on your next payment due. These rules will be strictly enforced and habitual tardiness may result in termination of services. See the tuition section for rules on payments.
